Sunburst

We'll folks, here I am much to my own amazement! Thanks to my wonderful friend Veronica for getting me out of my comfort zone of hiddenness and into the real world of blogging. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised when the phone rang and she stated that she had started me a blog. The above painting is done in a media of my first love, watercolor. I was asked to do a Sunflower show for a Gallery several years ago. This one is still a favorite. Who can resist Sunflowers growing over a neighbors fence??????????? Now I grow my own.

I've been an artist as long as I can remember. If given a coloring book, as a child , I'd be finished it in no time and love to color outside the lines. I've been doing mixed media since then too, gluing, rocks, beans, string and anything attatchable to whatever surface I could find that was my new daily find. I now am enjoying working in oils, acrylics, smashed tile mosaics and encaustic. Basically, I just want to create.
